Mr. Robert Jones is a Senior Manufacturing Leader in Continuous Measurable Improvement and Lean application with over 33 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Bob is an early innovator in the application of Lean principles to complex defense products and systems. He has lead teams through Total Quality Management, Self-Directed Work Teams and Facilities Reconfiguration for Competitive Advantage.  

Bob specializes in the development of capability throughout the value stream with the application of Lean, SPC/Six Sigma, Design for Manufacture, Manufacturing Readiness and Risk Reduction. Bob has applied Lean and CMI principles to a wide array of products and processes, including Circuit Card Assembly, Metal Fabrication, Precision Mechanisms, Optomechanical and Radar Systems. 

Bob holds a BS in Industrial Management from Clarkson University and (working towards) an MS in Engineering and Production Management from Loyola Marymount University. He is a certified Program and Project Manager and Six Sigma Specialist.

Bob is a recognized leader in the application Lean and Manufacturing Planning to the latest standards, such as AS6500 and the DOD MRL methods, and has authored manufacturing plans for all branches of the armed forces. As a recognized industry specialist, Bob has authored tutorial material on Lean applications and Manufacturing Risk Reduction. He is also a guest lecturer for industrial engineering graduate-level courses on the topic of Manufacturing Planning.
